Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage is a treatment using deeper, firmer techniques to work away knots and tension in muscle fibres and fascia, with the use of hands, thumbs, knuckles, elbows, forearms and with the use of friction, hacking and cupping techniques.

These techniques stimulate blood flow to the area increasing oxygenisation to the tissues and the release of toxins such as lactic acid, uric acid and cellular metabolic waste, thus aiding self repair of injuries, release of trapped nerves and eased muscualr tension.

After your initial free consultation we may assertain that a deep tissue massage is the right course of treatment for you, deep tissue massages tend to be more vigorous and stimulating rather than slow and relaxing and you may feel a little worse before you feel the benefits!
